Troubleshooting Steps
Once you have downloaded the Night Owl X and or the Night Owl X HD App, you will need to follow the steps below.
1. Select Create an account

2. Confirm the terms of use

3. Type in a valid email address and create and confirm a password for your account and click Create Account to continue.

7. Your Account Setup is now complete. Please follow the prompts on the screen to confirm your email address.

8. Please confirm your email address by signing into your email and click “Confirm Email”
a. Click on “Resend Email” if you did not receive the confirmation email

Note: The customer will not be able to move to the next step without confirming their email address.
9. A window will appear stating that “Your user was Activated”

10. Sign In to the App with the email and password that was just created.

Note: If the customer is receiving a “Username or Password is incorrect error message”, please ensure that they have confirmed their email address and try to sign in on the app again.
11. Select the yellow “+” sign to add your DVR to the application.

13. Select the “Add Button” next to the ID that matches the one on the sticker on the top of your DVR.

14. Add a name: DVR / NVR Unit e.g. “Home DVR”

15. Enter the password of your DVR / NVR (This is the password you created in the startup wizard of your DVR / NVR) and select "Next" in the top right corner of the app.

16. The device should now be connected to the app, if connected properly your device will display Connected next to the name of the DVR.

17. To start viewing the cameras connected to the DVR, tap on the DVR name.
