- Please, make sure you are using the correct CMS Software for your DVR/NVR. See PC/MAC Software Compatibility for more help
- For Black Screen issue using a Windows PC, follow the next steps:
- Find the Night Owl Software icon located on the PC.
- Right-click on the “Software Icon” which is located on the System desktop and Left-click “Run as administrator”.
- This will give the Software priority to perform better. In most cases, this will fix the blank screen issue.
- Please be sure that your PC/MAC complies with the following specifications:
- PC Operating System: Windows® 7, Windows® 8/8.1 and Windows® 10
- MAC Operating System: MAC OS X® 10.9 and above
- Restart the CMS software
Note: Please note any error message from your PC/MAC if the software still crashes after completing all the troubleshooting steps. If possible, take a screenshot of the error message.
Gather all relevant data and submit it to our Technical Support Team to research your crash report.
