Note: These troubleshooting steps are directed to solve Signal Loss issues and not Output video loss or signal loss issues. Video Loss or Signal loss issues are when you are not getting a video signal from the camera and you cannot see the live video on the monitor or mobile device.
Output video issue is when you cannot see any image on your monitor (No NVR menus, no layouts) but you are able to see it on the mobile device.
VIDEO LOSS DURING NIGHT VISION
If you are experiencing Video Loss, Stripes/Lines or Fuzzy Image issues on one or more cameras but only during Night Vision, the problem could be the camera’s power supply, because it does not provide enough power during the night when the camera demands more power.
PURPLE/PINK TINT
If you are experiencing Purple/Pink tint on one or more cameras, it is probably because your camera/s went bad. You can also check the settings of the channel or channels that are presenting with this issue.
- Please reset the color settings of the channel or factory reset the NVR so it can take the default settings. Click How to factory reset my DVR/NVR? for more help. This should resolve the issue. If not, please contact our Technical Support.

- Check if the camera is getting power
Once you have checked the power connection, please verify if the camera is getting power. Go to the non-working cameras and cover the front with your hands. Check if you see the red LEDs that get activated in Night Vision.
- If so, the camera is getting power and you can go to Step 4
- If not, the problem could be the power supply
- Power the camera using a power supply of a working camera. If the bad camera gets power and signal, you have determined the problem is the Camera Power Supply. If not, the problem is the camera. For both cases, please contact our Technical Support.
- Check the wireless connection between the camera and the WNVR
- Please make sure the camera is inside the signal range of the WNVR. If you are not sure that the camera is within range, please un-mount the No-Signal camera and power it near the WNVR and verify if you can see the live view. If so, consider changing the camera position or use the included 9 ft. extender antenna.
Note: The Previous step also applies if you are getting a poor signal from the camera and you see the live video is intermittent.
- If not, try to pair the camera again with the WNVR. By default, each camera within your Wireless NVR kit comes pre-paired to the Wireless NVR. Pairing allows for the wireless transmission coming from the camera to be detected by the Wireless NVR. However, if you have a camera that has been deleted from the pre-paired cameras list or it is a replacement camera, for both cases, this camera will similarly need to be paired to the NVR.
To do this, please, follow these steps:
4.1 Power on the camera using the camera power adapter.
NOTE: This should be done locally at the NVR to avoid interference.
4.2 Right click on your mouse and navigate to the Main Menu using the options bar.
4.3 Go to the Camera Menu and Select the Add Camera tab on the left side of the menu.
Note: The bottom portion of the screen will show all the cameras that are currently paired with the NVR. If you cannot see all the cameras in this currently paired list, it means that your camera needs to be paired. Another case, if you are pairing a replacement camera, you need to delete the old camera from the paired list (It should appear on status DISCONNECTED) to add the new one.
4.4 Next, you will need to reset the camera. To do so, press and hold the reset button (near the power port) until you hear a beep, indicating the camera has begun the reset process. Wait about 3 min.
4.5 After 3 minutes have passed or after hearing the camera beep, click on Wireless Add located on the Add Camera screen. Your NVR will now search for new cameras.
4.6 Wait until the WNVR find and connect the camera you just reset. Within the
Wireless Add screen, the “Number of Cameras Connected” signifies those cameras that are already paired with the Wireless NVR and will not immediately reflect this new camera. Click exit when you see in “Number of Cameras Connected” the total number of cameras you have installed. After that, you will be able to see all the cameras.
5. Check the channel “Privacy Mask” settings on the WNVR Menu
At this point you have checked that the camera is powered by the right power supply and it’s getting power. The WNVR has a feature that allows covering the live view video by channel, so even when the channel is recording, the video cannot be seen. If you don’t have live view video in one channel but don’t see the Signal Loss or Video Loss icon and you also can see the motion or recording icons, the problem is that this channel has video covert settings activated. Resetting the DVR/NVR to its default settings will resolve this issue. Click How to factory reset my DVR/NVR? for more help.
